Accessing the Employee Self Service Portal (ESSP)
- Employees must be provided with an internet web address by their roster clerk or manager.
- The web address provided is then placed into a browser window on any web-connected device.
- Desktop computer with internet access or
- Mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
Logging in for the first time
- Enter the provided web address into a browser "you will be presented with the “login” screen as shown below."
- You will be prompted for a username and password.

Username = Employee Email address registered with the facility

Temporary Password = Employee ID allocated to the employee

Once logged in you will be prompted to change your password

Password Reset?
The Password reset? feature can be used if you have forgotten your password. Click on Password Reset? "you will be presented with the screen below"

- Username = Employee Email address registered with the facility
- Press Reset Password
This will automatically send an email to the registered email address. The email will contain an auto-generated password. The Employee will then use this password to log in
Employees will be prompted to change this password immediately upon login

The employee is having connection issues while login into the Employee Self-Service Portal (ESSP)
Suggest using a different web browser IE: you are using Google try Microsoft Edge or similar
The employee has clicked on Reset Password and is not receiving the auto-generated password reset email
Have the employee confirm they are using the same email they registered with the facility
The employee has still not received the auto-generated password reset email despite checking their email inbox
Suggest to the employee to look in their spam/junk emails
Who can assist an employee with a password reset?
A registered facility employee with operator access can perform a password reset
Can this change be seen in the system?
Yes this is an audited process, system logs will show the changes made and who made them
How can a registered facility employee proceed with a password reset?
By temporarily changing the employee's registered email address to the company's registered email address or an email address that they can access.
What steps are followed by a registered facility operator to change a password?

- Temporarily change the registered email address that is displayed on the Employee Person Tab of the employee maintenance screen to an accessible company email address
- Open the Employee Self Portal (ESSP)
- Click Reset Password
- An autogenerated email will be sent to the changed email address
- Follow the email prompts to change the password
- Change the password to a 6-letter combination
- Confirm that the employee can now log in
- Advise the employee to change their password
- Remember to change the email back to the employee's original email
